TERMS & CONDITIONS OF YOUR ENROLMENT AGREEMENT

 

Between the student and/or purchaser

[hereafter "you", "you/your child", "me" and "I"];

​and, Albany Soo Bahk Do

[hereafter "ASBD", "the school", "the academy", "we" and "us"]

​

By purchasing any program at Albany Soo Bahk Do, you are agreeing to the following:

  1. You agree: to the terms & conditions

  2. We can post pictures of you/your child: We can use unidentified pics and vids of you/your child on social media

  3. You have to pay all monies owed: You agree to pay all future monies as stated

  4. Missed classes: are to be made up before the end of the term.

  5. Classes expire end of term: Classes not made up expire at the end of each "term"

  6. Optional holiday classes are free: when they are available, but you don't have to be attend

  7. Missed classes are to be made up: Classes missed due to instructor absense or holiday are to be made up

  8. We're not liable: you agree not to hold us liable for anything except negligence

  9. Our gear belongs to us: Any gear you haven't bought belongs to us

  10. You are fit enough: The student is fit enough to take this course

  11. You have to pay even if you stop coming: You have to pay whether or not the student attends

  12. Missed payments will be debited: We can debit you for any missed payments

  13. No refunds: We have a no refund policy for any monies paid

  14. Physical contact is okay: We can make physical contact with the student

  15. The student can be expelled: We can expel the student and take away rank

 

THE DETAILS:

  1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The purchaser and/or the student hereby understands and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  2. I GIVE PERMISSION TO USE PICTURES/VIDEO OF ME and/or my children and family to be shared publicly/on social media as long as we are not identified by name;

  3. I AGREE TO THE PAYMENT CONDITIONS of any programs I may purchse;

  4. MISSED CLASSES CAN BE MADE UP: Any classes that are missed as part of your tuition agreement due to sick days, holidays, etc., can be made up either before (for example, a planned holiday); or after (for example, an unplanned holiday or sick day).  These can be made up by attending special make up classes either during the school term; or, during the school holiday (NOTE: classes are not always offered during the school holidays);

  5. UNUSED CLASSES EXPIRE AT THE END OF EACH "TERM": Any of your allotted classes that are missed and not made up, will expire at the end of your term: unused classes DO NOT "rollover" into the next term;

  6. FREE CLASSES OVER THE HOLIDAYS AND DO NOT HAVE TO BE ATTENDED:  Classes held during holidays can be used as part of your make up classes; but do not count as part of your 40 classes (all holiday classes are free) Classes may or may not be held over the holidays, depending on instructor availability;

  7. NO CLASSES DURING INSTRUCTOR ABSENCE OR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: Classes missed due to instructor absence or public holiday, must be made up in the same way as any other missed class;

  8. WAIVER OF INJURY LIABILITY AND LOSS: In consideration for my attendance and participation in the martial arts classes associated with the package I am purchasing, I, the student/parent, acknowledge the existence of certain inherent risks in this type of training and do hereby assume all risks. I further relieve the Academy, its management, assigned staff, instructors and fellow students from any liability resulting from personal injury or loss of personal belongings;

  9. GEAR REMAINS PROPERTY OF THE ACADEMY: any gear issued to the you, that has not been purchased by you remains the property of the Academy and must be returned you’re your training stops; further, any such Academy gear that is damaged must be replaced by the student;

  10. STATEMENT OF FITNESS; AGREED UPON FEE: I hereby state that the students named herein are physically fit to take the prescribed course of instruction and do so of their own free will for an agreed upon fee; additionally, you assume any financial liability for classes taken, but not paid for;

  11. ATTENDANCE IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY and any payments continue regardless of whether or not a student attends class;

  12. PAYMENTS MISSED MUST BE REMITTED and I give permission for the Academy to debit my account to recover any missed payments owed;

  13. NO REFUND POLICY: I understand that there is a no refund policy for monies I pay to the Academy;

  14. PERMISSION TO MAKE PHYSICAL CONTACT is given as deemed necessary and usual for instructional purposes; and,

  15. RIGHT TO EXPEL PARENT/STUDENT FROM CLASSES; LOSS OF RANK: I understand that the Academy may expel myself and/or the student from attending the classes associated with the package I am purchasing at any time, immediately and without prior notice, should I/the student fail to follow instructions or behave in a disrespectful, aggressive, or violent manner (as determined solely by the Academy); such behaviour may also result in the loss of any rank earned.
